Abel John

He spent his childhood surrounded by musicians. His switch to the guitar was heavily influenced by his brother like friend and a well-known guitarist in Kerala, Shikku Dan Jacob. He shares that it was one of the best decisions he ever made. After he fell in love with the guitar, he started learning songs by his favorite band, The Beatles. Later, his taste in music expanded to Queen, Metallica, Lamb of God, Plini, John Mayer, Coldplay and other modern bands. He dedicated himself to learning music from his favorite artists and bands. He always wanted to be part of a band, and his passion for it grew over time. He continued to expand his musical taste across different genres and considers himself an explorer in discovering music. He remembers his first band performance at a school farewell party and sees it as a milestone in his life, where he realized his potential and Love for playing music in front of a crowd. Later, he started jamming with his friends and began exploring more and making music. Due to his immense passion for playing in a band, he became a session guitarist and played for many bands around Kerala.

While studying in college in Kozhikode, he was invited to join the band ‘Triple Five’. Which turned out to be the beginning of his journey as a band musician. He performed numerous gigs with the band and worked as a session player with other bands like Barrechord and Radiolegs. Soon, he was invited to join the band Matadoria, and he couldn’t have been more excited to accept it. He wants to explore, learn, and perform more for his audience, always striving to bring as much as he can to the table. Abel is stepping up, progressing in his passion, and becoming a source of motivation. Abel has also produced many projects for artists around India. He says that “The ultimate happiness is playing music in front of people, as it allows me to express my true other self”. He adds, "I feel humbled and thank God, my loved ones, and those who supported me.
