The musical journey of Figraus began early, sparked by a cousin’s influence during his school years. While still in school, he discovered EDM through shared tracks and quickly found himself immersed in the world of sound. What started with casual mixes on Virtual DJ evolved into a serious pursuit — by 2013, during his higher secondary education, he was formally learning DJing at AJ Arez Academy. He played his first gigs by 2014 and began landing shows at venues like Crowne Plaza and Four Points Sheraton, performing commercial and techno sets. Though he initially explored multiple genres, his heart leaned toward underground sounds from the beginning — techno, deep house, and later deep progressive music became his core identity. Early inspirations ranged from big-room giants like Hardwell, Afrojack, and Steve Aoki, to more refined, genre-defining artists such as ARTBAT, Boris Brejcha, and Özho.
As the scene evolved, so did Figraus. Between 2017 and 2018, while the number of underground gigs was still limited, he found himself performing alongside notable artists like Krylet, Ankytrixx, and Tuhin Mehta. His sound matured with time, drawing from the cosmic and atmospheric textures of deep progressive music — something he now identifies with deeply. Cosmic Connection, the space he’s building with his sound, isn’t just about performing — it's about crafting moods and emotions. He describes his sets as journeys rather than just performances — an experience where he controls the energy of the room and guides the audience through a carefully curated sonic ride. Today, he’s moved away from commercial expectations and focuses purely on sharing underground music with depth and emotion, choosing every track to tell a story rather than chase trends.
Production came as a natural extension of his curiosity. While training at Arez, he was influenced by DJs like Geopaul and friends such as DJ Jishnu, who introduced him to DAWs and the world of music creation. That curiosity has grown into a serious pursuit. Figraus is now producing his own music, crafting grooves and melodies that align with his identity — indie, progressive, and emotionally rich. He’s currently looking to release more original tracks and is actively seeking the right labels to support that vision. For him, DJing was never just about playing music — it’s been about passion, discipline, and staying true to the sound he believes in. In an age flooded with trends, Figraus stands out by sticking to his roots and constantly pushing to offer his audience something new, honest, and deeply immersive. He says that every time he plays for the audience, he feels like taking the audience to a journey, and he always try to make the journey beautiful and memorable.
